Neighbors helping NeighborsWhat happens when two mothers come together to support people in need? With the help of a generous community, families receive support. At the onset of this global pandemic Delaware County residents, Kelly Yiadom and Aimee Rubin, knew how many people would be challenged with acquiring food and everyday needs.
Their goal is simple; help as many families as possible in the greater Delaware County, PA community during these trying times. Although this mission was born out of the 2020 pandemic, hence the year being a part of the name, they understand the needs that still exist within Delaware County communities. They continue to seek financial support, item donations, as well as partner with community organizations and schools in order to provide a buffer to those impacted by rising costs of living. With that support, they are able to reach those with the greatest needs, giving them access to quality food, everyday necessities and as well as access. In this way, they desire that families can do more than just survive. They want to partner with them so they can thrive. |

I just want to start out by saying how much we appreciate your generosity during this difficult time for our family. This has been the scariest four weeks of my life. I have been so depressed and waiting for unemployment is a nightmare. I have always worked since I was 15 years old. I have never needed help so this is all new to me. When I received the call that you would sponsor our family I was in tears. I simply couldn’t believe a stranger would be so thoughtful. Cheers to another great evening of delivering food to needy families. Each family was very grateful and were not shy in expressing their thanks. Robert and I were wished blessings at every house. It's a really good deed that makes us feel so good during this very difficult time. I'll take that feeling every single day, one hundred times over! FYI, Robert and I donated a bit more to the total amount so each family could get as much food as possible. We provided them each with a large 18-inch cheese pizza, Chicken Pesto entree, Baked Ziti, a salad and garlic bread. All items are homemade. Thank you for your partnership. Together we can do more! Hi Kelly and Aimee, My phone has been blowing up!!! The grand families of Gratitude 4 Grandparents couldn't be more grateful. The children are filled with joy with the beautiful cookie tray and the grands are overwhelmed with the generosity that you and all the donors have so graciously donated and distributed. One grandson was elated with the chapstick LOL and another was thrilled to get ice cream, something they haven't had in a very long time. I remember your original plan was to help RTM families in need, but through the generosity of our great county, you were able to spread the wealth and broaden your original vision and G4G is thankful you partnered with us to bring joy in such a time of need.
